OUR BELIEFS
Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church believes the following:
THE INFALLIBILITY OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, which gives an accurate account of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity. Moreover, there is no salvation outside of what is written in its pages.
THE ONENESS OF GOD
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Father in the creation of heaven and earth, He is the Son in the redemption of all our sins and He is the Holy Ghost (His indwelling Spirit) in the present-day church.
WATER BAPTISM
Water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is an essential part of salvation (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Acts 10:46-48; Acts 19:1-7; Romans 6:3).
THE HOLY GHOST
The reception of the Holy Ghost by every believer with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4; Acts 8:16-18; Acts 10:45-46; Acts 19:6).
LIVING HOLY
Live a holy life, in which, without holiness, no one shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16).
THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH
The Lord Jesus Christ will come for a holy people (His Bride/Church) who have received Him through His blood, the water and His Spirit. The second coming of Jesus Christ, in which, the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trump of God: the dead in Christ shall arise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).

Pastor
Robert Bursey has been married to his wife, Linda Bursey, for 37 years. He served 28 years in the Air Force during that time the Gospel was preached overseas and across the united States. Brother Bursey served as Distinctive Service Leader Izmir AS Turkey and Incirlik AB Turkey. He ministered as Assistant Pastor, Living Waters Apostolic Church North Chicago IL.
Brother Bursey has a B.S. Degree from the University of Tennessee and a M.S. Degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University. He has 19 years experience as an Air Force Equal Opportunity manager and specialist.
Brother Bursey focuses on preparing people to know and meet the Lord Jesus Christ by teaching sound biblical doctrine and striving to be a faithful disciple in this present life.
